Working with other Dancers

What I Do

Meek loves managing the chaos of festivals and special events. He blends his outgoing and friendly disposition with tenacity, initiative, problem-solving and professionalism. Inspiring his teams to love what they do but know when its time to work and when it's time to play.

He's been a stage manager, a theatre manager, a production manager, house manager, operations manager, and volunteer coordinator with plenty of Front of House experience. On top of his incredible organization, Meek has important training in de-escalation, anti-oppression, trauma informed care and harm reduction. Key for events of all kinds.

Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Hot Docs, BIG on Bloor, IndieWeek, Rendezvous With Madness & NXNE are just a few of the festivals he has and continues to work with.

Organized, reliable, flexible and communicative. These are just a handful of key traits you can expect when hiring Meek for your production. Meek puts the artist first, identifying and working with their needs in order to provide the best production possible. He's worked in both a management capacity and also as a part of the team. Meek brings a vibrant personality that's friendly, approachable, and ready to get down to business at the drop of a hat.

He's been a stage manager, a production manager, 1st AD, art director, set dresser, stagehand and a grip to name a few with plenty of Front of House experience to top that. Furthering this, Meek is currently Producing and Directing his own physical theatre dance production.

Blurry Image of Dancers

Our bodies, the shapes that they have and the space that they hold are beautiful and innately creative. Meek explores and guides others to explore body and space through often improvised and intuitive movement in a quest to reclaim ourselves and the spaces we inhabit.

These sessions - whether they are one-off workshops, full courses, done alone, with one person, or in a group - are aimed to help heal the traumatized and disconnected body. To hold room for movement, to experience vulnerability and truth in a raw and powerful way. To remember joy, to bleed sorrow, to release anger.

Whether you have a lot of experience with dance or none at all doesn't matter. If you have a body and the courage to experience yourself, this is for you.
